Have you ever despised the blessings of God? Naturally, one would say “No” to that question, but if we examine the account of Esau and Jacob, we might be forced to answer “Yes”. Just like Esau sold his birthright, which included the blessings of God, for a bowl of lentil stew, do we sell our eternal spiritual blessings for a temporal immediate gratification of fleshly needs or desires?
